When dotCanada backs up your hosting account, a full snapshot is taken that covers much more than just your website files. Here's a complete breakdown of what's included.

Website Files

All files in your home directory are included - this covers your public_html folder (where your website lives), any subdomains or addon domain files, and any other files stored in your account's directory structure.

MySQL Databases

Every MySQL database associated with your account is backed up, including all tables and data. This covers your WordPress databases, custom application databases, and any other databases created in cPanel.

Email Accounts

All email accounts and their stored messages are included. This means your mailboxes, sent items, and folder structures are preserved in each backup snapshot.

DNS Zone Files

Your domain's DNS configuration - including A records, MX records, CNAME records, and other DNS settings - is included in the backup.

Cron Jobs
