How to Create a Full Account Backup Using JetBackup

While dotCanada automatically creates daily backups of your account, you can also trigger a manual backup at any time using JetBackup. This is especially useful before making significant changes to your website.

Steps to Create a Manual Backup

1. Log in to your cPanel account.
2. Go to the Files section and click JetBackup.
3. In the JetBackup dashboard, click Full Backups.
4. Look for the Create Backup button and click it.
5. Confirm the backup request when prompted.

JetBackup will queue your backup and process it in the background. Depending on the size of your account, this may take a few minutes to complete.

When to Create a Manual Backup

• Before updating WordPress, plugins, or themes
• Before migrating your site to a new platform
• Before making large structural changes to your database
• Before testing new scripts or code on a live site
