dotCanada provides several ways to back up and restore your hosting account, so your website, databases, and emails are always protected. Understanding your options helps you choose the right tool for each situation.

JetBackup

JetBackup is dotCanada's primary backup solution, accessible directly from cPanel. It gives you access to automatic daily backups with a 30-day retention period, stored securely in a Canadian data centre. With JetBackup, you can restore your full account, individual files, databases, email accounts, FTP accounts, SSL certificates, and cron jobs - all from a single interface.

cPanel Backup Wizard

The cPanel Backup Wizard lets you create and download a full or partial backup of your account manually. This is useful when you want to keep a local copy of your site before making major changes.

phpMyAdmin

For database-specific backups, phpMyAdmin lets you export and import MySQL databases in SQL format. This is especially handy for WordPress sites and other database-driven applications.

Roundcube Email Export

If you use Roundcube webmail, you can export your emails and contacts directly from the Settings panel, giving you a personal copy of your inbox outside of the server.
