How to Schedule Automatic Backups with JetBackup

dotCanada takes care of automatic daily backups for every hosting account. These backups are managed at the server level and run every day, retaining snapshots for 30 days. You don't need to set anything up - it all happens in the background.

What's Included in Automatic Backups

Each daily backup captures a full snapshot of your account, including:

• All website files in your home directory
• MySQL databases
• Email accounts and messages
• DNS zone files
• Cron jobs
• SSL certificates

Accessing Your Automatic Backups

To see and use your stored backups, open JetBackup from the Files section in cPanel. Each backup category (Full Backups, Databases, Email Accounts, etc.) shows a list of available restore points by date.

JetBackup Scheduling Options

Depending on your hosting plan, JetBackup may offer additional scheduling controls that let you configure when manual or extra backups are triggered. To explore what's available on your account:

1. Log in to cPanel and open JetBackup.
2. Look for a Schedules or Backup Schedule section in the dashboard.
