How to Set Up a Membership Site with MemberPress

MemberPress is a premium WordPress plugin that lets you create membership sites with gated content, subscription plans, online courses, and digital product sales. Installing MemberPress

1. Purchase MemberPress from memberpress.com and download the plugin ZIP file.
2. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
3. Upload the ZIP file, click Install Now, then Activate.
4. Go to MemberPress > Settings > License and enter your license key.

Creating Membership Plans

1. Go to MemberPress > Memberships > Add New.
2. Enter a plan name (e.g. Monthly Member), set the Price, and choose the Billing Type: one-time, recurring (monthly or annual), or fixed-period access.
3. Save the membership.

Restricting Content

Go to MemberPress > Rules and click Add New. Select the content to protect (specific posts, pages, categories, or custom post types) and choose which memberships can access it. Members without the required plan will see a customizable access-denied message or be prompted to subscribe.

Connecting a Payment Gateway

Go to MemberPress > Settings > Payments and add a gateway. Stripe and PayPal are both supported in the standard integration.
