How to Install and Configure WooCommerce

Installing WooCommerce

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.
2. Search for WooCommerce.
3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

Running the Setup Wizard

WooCommerce will launch a setup wizard automatically after activation. Follow these steps:

1. Store details: Enter your store address and country. This is used for tax and shipping calculations.
2. Industry: Select the industry your store belongs to.
3. Product types: Choose what you sell — physical products, digital downloads, subscriptions, etc.
4. Business details: Indicate how many products you plan to sell.
5. Theme: Choose to keep your current theme or install Storefront, the official WooCommerce theme.

After the Wizard

• Go to WooCommerce > Settings to configure currency, tax rates, and email notifications.
• Go to WooCommerce > Payments to set up your payment gateway.
• Go to WooCommerce > Shipping to configure shipping zones and rates.
