How to Change Your WordPress Site Title and Tagline

Your WordPress site title and tagline appear in browser tabs, search engine results, and often in your theme's header. Keeping them accurate helps visitors and search engines understand what your site is about.

Where to Find These Settings

Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Settings > General. You'll see two fields near the top of the page:

• Site Title - the name of your website (e.g., "Maple Street Photography")
• Tagline - a short description or motto (e.g., "Capturing Canadian moments")

Updating Your Site Title and Tagline

1. Go to Settings > General in your WordPress admin panel.
2. Edit the Site Title field with your desired name.
3. Update the Tagline field with a brief description of your site.
4. Scroll down and click Save Changes.
