How to Find Your Account's Nameservers

To point a domain to your dotCanada hosting account, you need your nameservers. Nameservers tell the internet which servers host your website and email. Here is where to find them.

Method 1: Check Your Welcome Email

The easiest place to find your nameservers is in the welcome email dotCanada sent you when you signed up. Search your inbox for an email from dotCanada and look for lines that read Name Server 1 and Name Server 2. They will look something like:

• ns1.dotcanada.com
• ns2.dotcanada.com

Method 2: Check Inside cPanel

Your nameservers are also visible inside cPanel:

1. Log into cPanel through clients.dotcanada.com
2. Scroll to the bottom of the cPanel home screen
3. Look for the General Information panel on the right-hand side - your nameservers will be listed there

Method 3: Ask dotCanada Support

If you cannot locate your nameservers through either of the above methods, our team is happy to help. Just contact our support team and we will provide your nameservers right away.

Next Step

Once you have your nameservers, log into your domain registrar and update the nameserver settings for your domain. Changes typically take up to 24 hours to propagate fully.
