What to Expect After You Sign Up

Welcome to dotCanada! Once you complete your sign-up, everything you need to get started will arrive in your inbox within a few minutes. Here is a breakdown of what to expect.

Your Welcome Email

Shortly after signing up, dotCanada will send you a welcome email containing your account details. This email includes your client area login credentials, your cPanel username and password, your hosting server details, and your assigned nameservers. Keep this email somewhere safe - you will refer back to it often.

cPanel Access

Your hosting account is managed through cPanel, the industry-standard hosting control panel. Your welcome email includes a direct login link along with your username and password. You can also access cPanel any time through your client area at clients.dotcanada.com.

Nameservers and DNS Propagation

If you registered your domain elsewhere, you will need to point it to dotCanada by updating your nameservers at your domain registrar. Your nameservers are listed in your welcome email. After updating them, allow up to 24 hours for DNS propagation to complete worldwide - this is normal and expected.
