What Are the IMAP, POP3, and SMTP Settings?

Here are the server settings you'll need to connect your dotCanada email account to any email client or device. Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.

Incoming Mail - IMAP (Recommended)

• Server: mail.yourdomain.com
• Port (SSL): 993
• Port (STARTTLS): 143
• Encryption: SSL/TLS (preferred) or STARTTLS
• Username: your full email address
• Password: your email account password

Incoming Mail - POP3

• Server: mail.yourdomain.com
• Port (SSL): 995
• Port (STARTTLS): 110
• Encryption: SSL/TLS or STARTTLS
• Username: your full email address
• Password: your email account password

Outgoing Mail - SMTP

• Server: mail.yourdomain.com
• Port (SSL): 465
• Port (STARTTLS): 587
• Encryption: SSL/TLS or STARTTLS
• Authentication: required - use your full email address and password

Important Notes

Always use your full email address as the username, not just the part before the @ symbol. SMTP authentication must be enabled to send email. If you're unsure which ports to use, start with SSL on port 993 (IMAP) and 465 (SMTP). Need help? Contact our support team.
