How to Create an Email Account in cPanel

Creating a new email account with dotCanada takes just a few minutes through cPanel. Here's how to do it.

Steps to Create an Email Account

  1. Log in to your cPanel account via your dotCanada hosting dashboard.
  2. Under the Email section, click Email Accounts.
  3. Click the Create button.
  4. Choose your domain from the dropdown (if you have more than one).
  5. Enter the username for the new address - for example, hello to create hello@yourdomain.ca.
  6. Set a strong password. cPanel includes a password strength meter to guide you.
  7. Set a Storage Space quota, or choose Unlimited.
  8. Click Create to finish.

After Creating the Account

Your new email address is ready to use immediately. You can:

  • Access it via webmail at yourdomain.com/webmail
  • Connect it to an email client like Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird using IMAP or POP3
  • Set up forwarding, autoresponders, or filters in cPanel

You can create as many email accounts as your hosting plan allows. To manage existing accounts - change passwords, adjust quotas, or delete accounts - return to the Email Accounts section in cPanel at any time.
