How to Use Filters and Folders in Roundcube Webmail
Roundcube webmail lets you create folders to organise your email, and set up filters to automatically sort incoming messages. Here's how to make the most of both features.
Creating Folders in Roundcube
- Log in to webmail at
yourdomain.com/webmail. - In the left sidebar, right-click on Inbox (or any existing folder) and choose Create folder.
- Give the folder a name and click Save.
You can also manage folders by going to Settings > Folders.
Setting Up Email Filters
Filters automatically move, flag, or delete incoming messages based on rules you define.
- Go to Settings > Filters.
- Click the + icon to create a new filter.
- Set the filter name and define your conditions - for example, From contains newsletter@company.com.
- Set the action - for example, Move to folder: Newsletters.
- Click Save.
Tips for Staying Organised
- Create a filter to move all newsletters to a dedicated folder so they don't clutter your inbox.
- Use the flag action to highlight important messages automatically.
- Combine multiple conditions using AND/OR logic for more precise filtering.
Filters created in Roundcube are server-side - they apply even when you're not logged in. For more help, contact our support team.
