SiteJet Troubleshooting: My Changes Aren't Showing
You've made updates to your SiteJet website, but when you visit your dotCanada-hosted site, everything still looks the same. This is a common issue and usually has a simple fix. Here's what to check.
1. Did You Publish?
SiteJet saves your edits as drafts - they won't appear on your live site until you click Publish. Make sure you've clicked the Publish button in the top-right corner of the editor after making your changes.
2. Clear Your Browser Cache
Your browser may be displaying a cached (saved) version of your site rather than the latest one. To force a refresh:
- Windows: Press
Ctrl + Shift + RorCtrl + F5 - Mac: Press
Cmd + Shift + R - Or open your browser settings and clear the cache manually.
3. Try Incognito or Private Mode
Open your website in an incognito or private browser window. This bypasses your browser's cache and extensions, so you'll see the most current version of your site as a new visitor would.
4. Try a Different Browser or Device
Open your site in a different browser (e.g., Firefox if you normally use Chrome) or on your phone to rule out a browser-specific caching issue.
5. Wait a Few Minutes
Occasionally, changes can take a minute or two to fully propagate after publishing. If you've just published, wait briefly and then reload.
6. Check That You're Viewing the Right Domain
Make sure the URL you're visiting matches the domain connected to your SiteJet site.
If your changes still aren't showing after trying all of the above, contact our support team and we'll investigate further.
