Overview of the SiteJet Editor Interface

When you first open SiteJet, you'll see a clean, intuitive editor designed to make website building as straightforward as possible. Here's a quick tour of the main areas you'll be working with.

The Main Canvas

The large central area is your canvas - this is where your website is displayed and edited in real time. Click on any element on the canvas to select and edit it. What you see here is a live preview of how your site will look to visitors.

The Left Sidebar

The left sidebar is your toolkit. It contains all the elements you can add to your pages, including:

  • Text - Headings, paragraphs, and lists
  • Images - Add photos, illustrations, and graphics
  • Buttons - Call-to-action links and form submit buttons
  • Containers and rows - Layout building blocks to organize your content
  • Widgets - Maps, videos, social icons, contact forms, and more

The Top Toolbar

The top toolbar runs across the top of the editor and gives you access to key settings and actions:

  • Page manager - Switch between pages or add new ones
  • Undo / Redo - Step backward or forward through your changes
  • Device preview - Preview your site on desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Publish - Make your site live for the world to see
  • Settings - Access site-wide settings like SEO, fonts, and colours

Right-Click and Context Menus

Right-clicking on any element on the canvas opens a context menu with options to copy, delete, move, or adjust that element. This is a handy shortcut once you're comfortable with the editor.
