Using SiteJet's Built-In Image Library

Finding high-quality images for your website can be time-consuming. SiteJet includes a built-in image library with access to a large collection of professional stock photos, so you can find the right visuals without leaving the editor - all available for free on your dotCanada-hosted site.

Accessing the Image Library

1. In the SiteJet editor, click on any image element to select it, or add a new image element to your page.
2. In the image settings panel, click Choose Image or the image picker icon.
3. The image library will open, showing your uploaded images and a stock photo search tab.

Searching for Stock Photos

1. Click the Stock Photos or search tab within the image library.
2. Enter a keyword related to the image you're looking for (e.g., Canadian nature, small business, office team).
3. Browse the results and click any image to preview it at full size.
4. Click Use This Image or Select to insert it into your page.

Uploading Your Own Images

1. In the image library, click Upload.
2. Select the image file from your computer (JPG, PNG, WebP, and SVG are supported).
3. Uploaded images are saved to your media library for reuse across your site.

Image Tips

• Compress images before uploading to keep your site loading fast - tools like TinyPNG work great.
• Always add alt text to images for accessibility and SEO.
• Use consistent image styles and aspect ratios throughout a page for a polished look.
