How to Add Social Media Links to Your Website

Connecting your website to your social media profiles helps visitors follow you and stay engaged. SiteJet includes a social media icons element that makes this easy to set up.

Adding Social Media Icons

1. Open the SiteJet editor from cPanel > Website > SiteJet Builder
2. Open the left sidebar and search for Social Media or Social Icons
3. Drag the Social Icons element onto your canvas
4. Drop it in your header, footer, or wherever you'd like the icons to appear

Configuring Your Social Media Links

Once the element is placed:

1. Click the social icons element to select it
2. In the settings panel, you'll see a list of social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
3. For each network you want to display, enter the URL of your profile page (e.g., https://www.instagram.com/yourhandle)
4. Leave any networks you don't use blank - they won't be displayed

Customizing the Icons

With the social icons element selected, you can adjust:

• Icon size - Make the icons larger or smaller
• Icon colour - Use brand colours or your site's colour scheme
• Icon style - Choose from filled, outlined, or monochrome icon sets
• Spacing - Control the gap between each icon

Where to Place Social Icons

Common placements include:

• Header - Visible on every page at the top
• Footer - A standard placement that visitors expect
• Contact page - Alongside your other contact details
• About page - To reinforce your online presence
