How to Add a Google Map to Your Website
Showing your business location on a map makes it easy for customers to find you. SiteJet lets you embed a Google Map directly on any page of your website - no coding required.
Adding a Google Map Element
- Open the SiteJet editor from cPanel > Website > SiteJet Builder
- Navigate to the page where you want the map to appear (e.g., your Contact page)
- Open the left sidebar and search for the Map or Google Map widget
- Drag the Map element onto your canvas and drop it in the desired location
Setting the Map Location
After placing the map element on the canvas:
- Click the map to select it
- In the settings panel, find the Address or Location field
- Enter your business address (e.g.,
123 Main Street, Toronto, ON) - The map will automatically update to show a pin at that location
Customizing the Map
With the map element selected, you can typically adjust:
- Zoom level - How far in or out the map is zoomed by default
- Height - Make the map taller or shorter to fit your layout
- Map type - Some settings allow you to switch between roadmap, satellite, or terrain views
Resizing the Map
Like any element in SiteJet, you can resize the map by:
- Clicking it and dragging the resize handles on the edges
- Or entering specific dimensions in the properties panel
Things to Keep in Mind
- The map requires an internet connection to load for visitors
- Make sure your address is entered accurately - a typo could pin the wrong location
- Test the map on your live site after publishing to confirm it displays correctly
