How to Add a Contact Form to Your Website
A contact form lets website visitors send you messages directly from your site - no email address required on their end. SiteJet includes a built-in contact form element that's quick to set up.
Adding a Contact Form
- Open the SiteJet editor from cPanel > Website > SiteJet Builder
- Navigate to the page where you want the form (typically a Contact page)
- Open the left sidebar and look for the Form or Contact Form element
- Drag the form element onto your canvas and drop it where you'd like it to appear
Configuring Your Form
Once the form is placed on your page, click it to open the form settings. From here you can:
- Add or remove fields - Common fields include Name, Email, Phone, and Message
- Mark fields as required - Visitors must fill in required fields before submitting
- Set the submit button label - Customize the button text (e.g., "Send Message" or "Get in Touch")
- Set a confirmation message - Show visitors a thank-you message after they submit
Setting the Form Email Recipient
To receive form submissions by email:
- Click the form element and look for Form Settings or Notifications
- Enter the email address where you'd like to receive submissions
- Optionally set a reply-to field so you can reply directly to the visitor's email
Testing Your Form
Before publishing, it's a good idea to test your form:
- Publish your site and visit the live contact page
- Fill in the form with a test message and submit it
- Check your inbox to confirm the submission was delivered
