How to Create a New cPanel Account in WHM

Creating a cPanel account for a new client is one of the most common tasks you'll perform in WHM. Each account gets its own cPanel environment, domain, and allocated resources.

Steps to Create a New Account

1. Log into WHM at https://yourdomain.com:2087
2. In the left sidebar, click Account Functions then Create a New Account
3. Enter the client's domain name in the Domain field
4. Set a username (max 16 characters, alphanumeric) - this will be the cPanel login
5. Enter a strong password or use the password generator
6. Enter the client's email address for account notifications
7. Select a Package from your pre-configured list, or choose Manual Settings to set custom resource limits
8. Review the settings and click Create

After Account Creation

WHM will confirm the account has been set up and display a summary of the new account details. You can then:

• Send the cPanel login credentials to your client
• Log directly into their cPanel from WHM to begin configuration
• Set up DNS zones if you're managing nameservers
