Overview of the cPanel Dashboard

When you first log in to cPanel, you will be greeted by the cPanel dashboard - a central hub where all of your hosting management tools are organized. dotCanada uses the modern Jupiter cPanel theme, which is clean, responsive, and easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile devices.

Key Areas of the Dashboard

• Search Bar: At the top of the page, the search bar lets you quickly find any tool by typing its name. This is the fastest way to jump directly to what you need.
• Navigation Menu: The left sidebar provides quick links to common sections including Files, Databases, Email, Domains, and more.
• Main Content Area: Tools are grouped into labelled sections such as Files, Databases, Email, Domains, Metrics, Security, and Software.

Important Sections to Know

1. Files: Access File Manager, FTP Accounts, Disk Usage, and backups via JetBackup.
2. Databases: Create and manage MySQL databases, users, and access phpMyAdmin.
3. Email: Set up email accounts, forwarders, autoresponders, spam filters, and more.
4. Domains: Manage subdomains, addon domains, parked domains, redirects, and DNS zones.
5. Software: Access Softaculous to install WordPress and other applications with one click, and manage PHP versions using MultiPHP.
6. Metrics: View visitor statistics, bandwidth usage, and error logs.
7. Security: Manage SSL certificates, IP blockers, and password-protected directories.

Account Summary

On the right side of the dashboard, you will find a quick summary of your account showing your disk usage, bandwidth, email account count, and other resource stats at a glance.
