Setting Up a Coming Soon or Maintenance Page in SiteJet

Whether you're building a new site or updating an existing one, a coming soon or maintenance page lets you show something polished to visitors while you work behind the scenes. Here's how to set one up in SiteJet on your dotCanada hosting account.

Option 1: Build a Coming Soon Page in SiteJet

1. In the SiteJet editor, create a new page and name it Coming Soon or Maintenance.
2. Design it with a brief message, your logo, and optionally an email signup form so visitors can be notified when you launch.
3. In your page settings, set this page as the homepage temporarily.
4. Hide or unpublish all other pages so only the coming soon page is visible.
5. Publish the site - visitors will see only this page until you're ready to launch.

Option 2: Use cPanel's Maintenance Features

dotCanada's cPanel also includes tools for placing your site in maintenance mode at the server level. This can be useful if you need to take down an existing site temporarily. Check the Site Maintenance section in cPanel for options.

What to Include on a Coming Soon Page

• Your logo or business name
• A brief, friendly message explaining what's coming
• An estimated launch date if you have one
