Backing Up Your SiteJet Website

Your website is a valuable asset, and keeping it safe is important. SiteJet automatically saves versions of your site as you work, so you always have a history to fall back on. Here's what you need to know about backups on your dotCanada-hosted SiteJet site.

SiteJet's Automatic Version History

Every time you publish your SiteJet website, a new version is saved automatically. These versions are stored in the History panel within the editor, giving you a timeline of your site's changes.

Accessing Version History

1. Open your website in the SiteJet editor.
2. Look for the History icon or panel - it may be in the left sidebar or accessible from the top menu.
3. A list of saved versions will appear, each timestamped.
4. Click any version to preview what your site looked like at that point in time.
5. To revert to a previous version, select it and click Restore.

dotCanada Server-Level Backups

In addition to SiteJet's own version history, dotCanada performs regular server-level backups of your hosting account. These backups protect your files, databases, and emails - an extra layer of security for your peace of mind.

Best Practices

• Publish regularly to create frequent restore points in SiteJet's history.
