How to Write and Publish a Blog Post in SiteJet

Once your blog is set up in SiteJet, publishing posts is straightforward. Here's how to create a new blog post and get it live on your site.

Creating a New Blog Post

1. Open the SiteJet editor from cPanel > Website > SiteJet Builder
2. Navigate to the Blog section - this is usually found in the left sidebar or the Page Manager
3. Click New Post or the + button to create a new post
4. A new post will open based on your blog post template

Writing Your Post

The blog post editor works just like the rest of SiteJet:

• Click on the title area and type your post title
• Click on the body content area to write your article
• Use headings, paragraphs, lists, and images to structure your content
• Drag additional elements from the sidebar if needed

Adding a Featured Image

Most blog post templates include a featured image area at the top. Click it to upload or select an image that represents your post - this is what appears on the blog listing page and in social media previews.

Setting Post Details

Before publishing, fill in your post's details in the settings panel:

• Post title - The headline of your article
• Slug / URL - The web address for the post (e.g., /blog/my-first-post)
• Category - Assign the post to a topic category
• Meta description - A brief summary for search engines
• Publish date - Schedule the post or publish it immediately

Publishing Your Post

1. Once your post is ready, click the Publish button in the top toolbar
2. Your post will be live on your site and visible on your blog listing page
