How to Upload Your Own Images to SiteJet

Using your own images - photos of your business, products, team, or brand - makes your website feel personal and authentic. SiteJet includes a built-in media library where you can upload and manage all your image files.

Accessing the Media Library

In the SiteJet editor, you can access the media library in a few ways:

  • Click on any existing image and choose Replace Image
  • Drag an Image element onto the canvas and click Select Image
  • Look for a Media or Files icon in the left sidebar

Uploading Images

Inside the media library:

  1. Click the Upload button (it may appear as a cloud or arrow icon)
  2. Select one or more image files from your computer
  3. Wait for the upload to complete - a progress indicator will show the status
  4. Your images will appear in the library, ready to use

Supported File Formats

SiteJet supports the following image formats:

  • JPEG / JPG - Best for photos and complex images
  • PNG - Best for logos, icons, and images with transparency
  • GIF - Supports simple animations
  • WebP - Modern format with excellent compression and quality
  • SVG - Great for vector graphics and logos

Tips for Uploading

  • Keep individual image files under 5MB for best performance
  • Name your files descriptively before uploading (e.g., downtown-toronto-office.jpg) - this can help with SEO
  • You can upload multiple images at once by selecting them all in the file picker
  • Uploaded images remain in your library and can be reused across multiple pages
