How the Free Domain Works

When you sign up for an eligible hosting plan, you can register a new domain name at no charge for the first year. This applies to popular extensions including .ca, .com, .net, and others, depending on the plan and current promotions. The free domain offer is available for new domain registrations - it does not apply to domain transfers or renewals.

After the First Year

The free domain covers the first year of registration. At renewal, the domain will renew at dotCanada's standard domain registration rate, which is clearly shown in your account before any renewal is processed. There are no surprises.

Important Terms

The free domain is included with select plans and is subject to availability and our standard terms of service. If you cancel your hosting within the 30-day money-back period, the retail value of the domain registration may be deducted from your refund, since domain registrations are processed immediately and cannot be reversed.
